The Barionet is a DIN mounted I/O device manufactured by German company Barix.  It offers an RS232 and RS-422/485 interface as well as 12 analog and digital inputs/outputs  for connecting temperature sensors, readers and devices.  A 1-wire interface is also included There is an Ethernet interface supporting TCP/IP, SNMP, HTTP and CGI and a xAP software personality is available, written in BCL that can be loaded into the unit creating an embedded I/O controller using the BSC v1.3 schema.
